About me

(one of) The apple of my eye

My family looks pretty normal but it’s not completely. There’s an obsessive compulsive, a perfectionist, an hyperactive, a pessimist, and a near perfect human being (that might be me). We communicate on a daily basis, sometimes in Afrikaans, sometimes in French but mostly in english. I do (most of) the French.

My most favourite men

We’re quirky (or are we?) and believe in the Sovereignty of Christ in our lives. By his grace, he doesn’t really mind what language we speak. What He cares about, however, is that our lives reflect His work on the cross.

We try to be Christ-focused and other-centered and I try to do that with a sense of humour. I got mine in France so it’s heavy in sarcasm but isn’t life too short to take things too seriously?

My hope is to make you think about this bizarre place we call our world with a smile on your face.

I was very interested in your site until I read “We’re an ecclectic family made up of two parents, a man and a woman, the way God intended it to be.” Sorry this just doesn’t jive with my beliefs and is deeply rooted in a great deal of hurt for a huge segment of the population who does not live this way.

      Hi there,
I appreciate you leaving your comment on how you feel about my website. I do realise that many people do not live this way and do not share the same beliefs. I am in no way condemning those who live differently but i cannot condone their way of life either. I am a Christian and I love the Lord Jesus. My beliefs are based on His words alone. Why not stick around here a little more and read some more about Jesus on some of my other posts. You might be surprised at what you discover about him… Otherwise, thank you for stopping by 🙂
